Leatherhead Lake, Eureka Springs, AR (watercolor on paper; plein air)
“Before the Rain” (watercolor painting on 7″ x 9″ watercolor paper). This little piece is completely made up. I was experimenting with a new set of Japanese watercolors.
The painting started as a few washes and worked itself into a rock wall and a landscape with cattle grazing in the distance.
“Tree Fish” (ink pen on paper)
“Dreaming” (colored pencil on paper) 7-1/2″ x 11″
“Evening Blues” (watercolor on paper)
It was very chilly out this morning. The wind was blowing off of the lake, but I managed to get a little watercolor done with my friend Donna McGee, who worked in oil.
Mystery Lake, a name that I titled the piece. Not sure of the lake’s actual name, but the piece looked a bit mysterious, hence the title (watercolor on paper)
