Looking Closely is a graphite drawing that started with a photo reference (my own) and ended with many imagined areas, shapes, and woven vines. This drawing is created on Rives BFK print paper, 22″ x 30″. Looking Closely was shown at the Norton Art Gallery, Shreveport, Louisiana. It will be shown at the National Association of Women Artist’s 129th Annual Members’ Exhibition, October 6 – 18, 2018, South Gallery, New York.

“Blue Flowers” (ink drawing w/digital color; 5.5″ x 5.5″)
“Hearts & Flowers & Horses” (watercolor on Yupo paper; 10″ x 13″)
Yupo is a very slick-surfaced paper, and you either love it or hate it. I enjoy working on it, but it can be frustrating. Apply a brushstroke, then again, and it changes completely. It never seems to stay put…but that’s the surprise I like.
“Fish & Flowers” (mixed media: ink, marker, highlighter). Drawing on paper.
“Without Color” (ink drawing on paper). Daily Something from my sketchbook.
