Not Necessarily Pretty is a colored pencil drawing on paper. It’s probably a work-in-progress, and I’m not sure where it’s headed. The theme or subject is saving wild horses.

Plein air painting (oil on panel) at Linden Plantation, Mississippi. This little painting got me into the Plein Air on the Santa Cruz competition in Tubac, Arizona. I’m looking forward to plein air painting daily for a week and meeting many other artists!

Looking Closely
Looking Closely is a graphite drawing that started with a photo reference (my own) and ended with many imagined areas, shapes, and woven vines. This drawing is created on Rives BFK print paper, 22″ x 30″. Looking Closely was shown at the Norton Art Gallery, Shreveport, Louisiana. It will be shown at the National Association of Women Artist’s 129th Annual Members’ Exhibition, October 6 – 18, 2018, South Gallery, New York.
