“Green Carousel” (ink drawing; digital color) 6″ x 6″ drawing on paper.
I’ve been a little fascinated with digital color application for over two years now. This little ink drawing has hatch marks (linear value) and when I drop digital color in an area, it spreads unevenly. I’m not a digital artist, just someone who learned to drop color into shapes–enjoying the outcome, especially when it’s unpredictable.
“Night Plants” (watercolor on paper; 7″ x 10″)
This took me so long to post! I have a new scanner, and not being very techy, I struggled to get it hooked up. Then, after learning to use the scanner, I had to figure out how to “find” the image on my computer, then figure out how to convert the image to a jpg. There’s got to be an easier way.
This little drawing is imaginary, of course–just shapes that emerged as I painted.
“The Tide Beneath” ink drawing in sketchbook. A continuous doodle. The lady in the small boat appears in a lot of my work. She represents freedom to live one’s own life.
“Cat Dreaming” small ink drawing of my cat Orange and small dog Roseanna. I kept doodling on drawing until it looked like the cat was dreaming about all kinds of stuff.
“Fish & Shells” (watercolor pencils on paper)
Playing today with new watercolor pencils…made up fish; made up shells. Drawing just for fun.
“Ride the White Horse” (ink pen on paper; digital color)
watercolor gestures of beach people on Siesta Beach, Florida.
Had a lot of fun watercolor sketching while laying on the beach in Florida. Meg and I enjoyed the beautiful day.
